Me and my spoon


More updates from the Land of Lean.

There was much excitement two weeks ago when we all heard that the Guardian, no less, had expressed an interest in the Accelerator and wanted to run a feature. There was something less of a jolly mood when we discovered that they only picked a handful of founders to interview and sadly, readers, the Cloche Project (that’s us) was not among them.

We got over it fairly quickly*, and to be honest we’re quite relieved as we are not anywhere near as photogenic as the other teams and don’t want to scare off potential customers.

Our product, on the other hand, is gorgeous. At least the mock ups are. And the prototype is beginning to be. We’ve had some fantastic conversations this week with Devon councillors about what our product would need to do for them, and our focus now is on proving that we can produce something that will do the job. I’ve been threatened with promised a crash course in HTML5 so I can do my bit towards that, and we all know how much I like new things to do, right?**

*Anyway, we’re not bitter. We’re holding out for a Private Eye exclusive ‘Me and My Spoon’ feature.
